Scott, Bruno & Jean join the 2016 PC Sailing Crew

Park City Sailing is excited to welcome new & returning staff for 2016. Scott_VerMerris_300x300Scott VerMerris, Director of Adult Programs - Grew up sailing on Lake Erie out of Mentor Harbor, Ohio. When not sailing, Scott is one of the athletes and Team Manager / Chief Brand Ambassador at Icelantic Skis. Scott has a background in experiential education/therapy and is working on developing these skills with teaching sailing. Scott has completed his course work for getting his USCG Captain’s license and is now also a Master Level 100 Ton Captain. Some of Scott’s favorite memories as a sailor were his years as a junior sailor in Ohio and traveling with his family on their boat in the Lake Erie Islands, captaining boats in various tropical parts of the globe with The Moorings and his friends at Icelantic Skis and of course all his time racing and teaching at Park City Sailing. As an instructor and sailing coordinator I love meeting new people and sharing the passion for sailing and what it can offer. I am so happy to be part of the Park City Sailing community.

Bruno_Paciulli_300x300Bruno Paciulli, Director of Junior Education - Bruno came to Park City, UT to build a couple of small boats for a friend. While he was in Park City he signed his  youngest daughter up for sailing lessons at Park City Sailing and soon discovered a great group of people running a special community sailing program. Impressed with the program and by the dedicated, energetic staff, Bruno reached out to join the crew! Bruno is looking forward to coming out to Park City again this summer as the Director of the Junior Sailing Program.

Jean_Tierney_300x300Jean H. Tierney Business Manager - Jean and her family (husband & two college aged kids) moved to Park City in August of 2015. It was a big change after living on the East Coast in Marblehead, MA. From the ocean to the mountains, Jean never expected to find a place to sail in Utah. Jean started sailing when she was about 10 years old with cruises to Cuttyhunk, Martha's Vineyard, Nantucket and Cape Cod for at least 2 weeks each summer. Jean has also owned her own business (a knitting shop in Marblehead), worked in other retail businesses, and before moving to Park City was an office manager for a rapidly growing software company in Boston. Jean is really looking forward to working for Park City Sailing and helping support all of the great programs they provide for kids and adults.
