An Update from Francesca Clapcich

Francesca (Frankie) is a professional offshore sailor and former Olympian who lives in Park City. We are proud to have Francesca as part of the PCSA family. Francesca is leading up to the 2028 Vendée Globe (solo, nonstop around the world), supported by 11th Hour Racing.

Here is a winter update from Francesca:

“Winter time can feel quiet in the sailing industry but is actually a busy time for my team!
We have the boat in the shed in Lorient (France) after a really intense sailing season, everything is getting checked and serviced, we are having meetings, planning the season and finally painting the boat with the new colors (that it will be a big WOW effect i hope).
The launch is planned around mid March and especially the technical team is working against time to make sure everything will be ready to go! I’m focusing on enjoying some days of skiing at home and spending as much time as possible in the gym and working out to be phisically and mentally ready for the season to come. 
The schedule this year is focused on solo racing and i have a mix of excitment and fear at the same time!! Into 2026 with new energy and lot of miles in the water!!”
