Now Hiring Instructors for Summer 2012

Park City Sailing is seeking skilled, dynamic and fun applicants for positions teaching in Optimists for the 2012 summer season. We will also have some adult classes in Lasers and/or J22's. We may have a 420 program in 2012 too. In addition to being one of the premiere winter skiing destinations, Park City, Utah is a fantastic summer resort town with sailing, stand-up-paddle-boarding, awesome mountain biking, hiking, fly fishing, lots of evening concerts and more. Student ages and skill levels in the Optimist dinghy program range from 7 - 15, and beginners through intermediate racing. The dinghy program runs from late June 11 through August 24. The Optimist racing coach may be required to attend some away regattas in Southern California or the Northwest.

The keelboat program is taught in J/22s and students range from 10 – 70+ years old, beginners to racers. The keelboat program will have flexible schedules week to week for instructors and may include some evenings.

The Head Instructor is responsible for the day-to-day management of the sailing program including managing staff (Head Instructor +3-4 Instructors), teaching classes on-land and on-the-water, developing lesson plans and creating an environment conducive to learning and fun. The Head Instructor is supported by the Program Director and 3+ sailing instructors.

The Head Instructor should have college sailing and racing experience as well as interest to help grow the Park City Sailing program. US Sailing Certification required.

Note: We are also looking for 2+ sailing instractors. US Sailing Certification required.
