In Park City Sailing’s brief history the belief that sport of sailing can provide many benefits to the greater community, is shown by our Out Reach Program. The program has 3 major components.
Pay it Forward – Community Groups – Therapeutic Sailing
Pay it Forward – Even though PC Sailing is busy raising funds to support the organization’s goals, we work closely with many of the local non-profits. PC Sailing donates either a week long Junior Sailing Camp or a 2 hour Sailing Lesson to local non-profits who are holding silent auctions. The only requirements are that the organization is a 501 c 3 and its goals are non-discriminatory. Please contact Buster Pike 435-659 1360 to learn more.
Community Groups – Sailing provides more than a recreational experience. It can support team building, education, connecting inner city children with the outdoors and more. PC Sailing has provided sailing as a vehicle to add to the experience of community groups such as Boy and Girl Scouts, faith based youth programs and schools. The fees are based on the organizations ability to pay. Full or partial scholarships are available. Please contact Ken Block 435-602-2707 to learn more.
Therapeutic Sailing – A sail for a brief time can provide both a physical and mental therapeutic experience to a wide range of people. PC Sailing makes it fleet of boats available to a wide range of participants including wounded warriors, visually impaired, amputees, addicted behavior and chronic illnesses and more. We also partner with the National Ability Center to provide sailing as a component of their water sports program. The fees are based on the organizations ability to pay. Full and partial scholarships are available. There are also many volunteer opportunities from skippering to dock support. Please contact Ken Block 435-602-2707 to find out more information.
