Summer 2015 is going to see the launch of PC Sailing’s “Science & Sailing Camp”.
There will be two one-week sessions – $325 per session. Classes are full day (9am-4pm). In addition to kids bringing their regular sailing gear, they’ll need to also bring lunch, drinks and a snack. Classes are for kids that have finished 6th, 7th, or 8th grade.
Sessions are scheduled for:
- Science & Sailing: Week 2 – June 22-26
- Science & Sailing: Week 8 – Aug 3-7
The class will be split between sailing in c420’s and playing with tech at the Jordanelle. The class will leverage U.S. Sailing’s REACH curriculum – http://REACH.USSailing.org and be taught by Park City Sailor & Ecker Hill Middle School Science Teacher, Don Crandall.
Park City Sailing was just awarded a grant by SeaPerch.org for 10 marine ROV’s and these will also be leveraged as a part of the class. Should be FUN!
